With these 3 apps, students will have the resources to travel smarter and more efficiently.

When traveling you as a student must always have a plan. One of the most important parts of traveling abroad is the amount of money that you are spending. There are quite a few ways to explore the world without blowing up their wallet. One way is to book your ticket flights smartly. Research good ticket pricing websites such as Google flights or Skyscanner. Try your best to be flexible as possible with your travel dates. It is best to go on weekdays because they have better/cheaper pricing. Another way is to use public transportation. Public transportation is much cheaper than private rides. Some countries do offer student discounts for public transportation and besides it is good to have the ultimate experience by seeing how native commuters live their lives. The third way is to cook your own meals. If you buy food everyday you will lose a lot of money. Only buy food on the fly if it is absolutely necessary. It is better to buy ingredients and make your own meals. Especially if you are staying in an Airbnb, you have access to a kitchen. With these particular strategies you can save a lot of money when you travel.

Make sure that you walk with both cash and card and be careful of making large deposits. The last step is to always trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right do not be afraid to walk away. If possible, always try to walk in groups with classmates, you trust because you are in a new environment and you are still getting used to it. Traveling abroad is hard for some people, but it is worth it once you do everything right.
